Upgrade your GM 5.3L L83 engine with the larger factory intake manifold and throttle body found on the 6.2L L86. The L86 intake manifold swap is a popular upgrade for L83 owners looking to improve airflow and increase horsepower while maintaining a factory GM appearance and fitment.

This kit includes the L86 intake manifold, L86 throttle body, intake manifold gaskets, and PCV tube needed for the conversion. For those looking to take the upgrade a step further, we also offer the option to replace the standard L86 throttle body with a Katch ported throttle body for additional airflow potential.

Optional Throttle Body Upgrade:

• Katech Ported Throttle Body: Upgrade from the standard L86 throttle body to a ported Katch throttle body designed to improve airflow through the throttle body.

Fitment:

• GM 5.3L L83 Engines
• Does not fit 2022+ vehicles w/ five-terminal throttle bodies. Please confirm terminal before ordering.

Important Installation Notes:

• Tuning Required: ECU tuning is required when installing the L86 intake manifold and throttle body on an L83 engine.
• Cold Air Intake Fitment: The L86 throttle body is larger than the factory L83 throttle body. Depending on your current cold air intake setup, a larger or different coupler may be required to connect your intake tube to the L86 throttle body. This coupler is not included in the kit.
• Horsepower gains will vary depending on engine configuration, tuning, and supporting modifications.
• The optional Katech ported throttle body replaces the standard L86 throttle body included in the kit.
