RRR Performance Parts is an authorized dealer. Each part we sell is covered by its manufacturer’s warranty. That warranty is the only one that applies, and the manufacturer decides every claim. We’ll do the legwork for you: we’ll help you file the claim, talk to the manufacturer for you, and keep you updated until it’s resolved.
How to make a warranty claim
- Email [email protected] with your order number, the part, a description of the problem, photos or video, and the vehicle and setup it’s installed on (engine, tune, fuel, boost or nitrous, and how the car is used).
- We’ll pass your claim to the manufacturer and let you know what they need. Some manufacturers ask for the part to be returned for inspection, or ask for a dyno sheet, data log or installer invoice.
- If the manufacturer approves the claim, they’ll repair or replace the part, or issue a credit, under their warranty terms.
Please keep your order confirmation and any installation receipts, because manufacturers usually ask for proof of purchase.
Warranty length and coverage
Warranty length and coverage vary by brand and by part. Many performance parts carry a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Some parts made for racing or competition are sold with no warranty at all. Each manufacturer’s warranty terms are in the product’s instructions or on the manufacturer’s website. Assembled engines, short blocks and cylinder heads are covered by the builder’s own written warranty, which comes with the product. Ask us before you buy if you’d like a copy of the warranty for a specific part.
What warranties usually don’t cover
- Labor to remove or install parts, towing, rental cars, shipping, or lost time.
- Damage to other parts or the vehicle that results from a part failing (consequential damage).
- Parts that were installed incorrectly, modified, misapplied, or not installed by a qualified technician when the manufacturer requires one.
- Failures caused by a poor tune, detonation, lean conditions, overheating, lack of maintenance, contaminated oil or fuel, or exceeding the part’s rated power, rpm or boost.
- Racing, competition, or off-road use, when the manufacturer excludes it.
- Normal wear, finish and cosmetic issues, and break-in that wasn’t done to the manufacturer’s procedure.
Racing and off-road parts
Many of the parts we sell are designed for racing and off-road use. High-performance parts operate under extreme stress, and failures can happen even when everything is installed correctly. Unless a manufacturer’s written warranty says otherwise, parts used in racing or competition are sold as is.
Our responsibility
RRR Performance Parts does not offer any warranty of its own beyond passing along the manufacturer’s warranty. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Our total responsibility for any part is limited to the price you paid for it. Some states don’t allow limits on implied warranties or consequential damages, so these limits may not apply to you, and you may have other rights that vary by state.
